Success story: Duravit

from the catalogue directly on the Web - and vice versa

mediacockpit | mediapim | mediapublisher | mediasuite | mediaepaper

Starting point

  • Digital media and layouts are managed in the file system
  • automated catalog generation for print
  • low investment security for media assets
  • no process-driven workflow support
  • high costs for classic publishing and manually layouting price lists

Process driven publishing

Using the integrated solution based on mediacockpit, Duravit maintains over 50 product attributes (media files, master data from PDM and ERP) per hierarchy level in their multi-level product program (e.g. product family, product, article, variation, ...). This product information is linked to the publication layouts. Customized workflows facilitate efficient data processing for each participant involved in the publishing process (product manager, translator, external agencies, ...). Other (online) channels are provisioned with the same price list content in addition to the print publication from a single marketing services platform. All of this quickly and cost effectively with most current price lists.

About Duravit

1817, Georg Friedrich Horn founded a small factory in Hornberg which exclusively produced earthenware dishes until 1842. The product range has grown continuously since then and now the tradition-rich company is synonymous with attractive and high-quality design.

Today, Duravit is an internationally operating group employing over 5,500 employees with ten manufacturing sites. The company has operations in Germany (Hornberg, Meissen, Schenkenzell, Achern), France, Egypt, Turkey, China, Tunisia and India.

"With the mediacockpit we want to automate our publishing process even further in the future. We emphasize flexibility and scalability and have very high standards for design."

- Stephen Kuderer, Duravit
