mediacockpit at Winterhalter

Winterhalter, a specialist for commercial warewashing machines, has relied on professional media management and distribution to its partners and subsidiaries since 2007.

This extensive experience was a key factor when selecting mediacockpit version 5.5 for their new DAM system at the end of 2012. A special requirement in the design phase was that the DAM system not only provide a simple to use browser-based standard software, but that mediacockpit must also serve as a data source for media assets in the new Winterhalter website.

The new website went online in German last week, launching at the Internorga trade fair in Hamburg. Fully integrated with the CMS, mediacockpit provides the new corporate presence with product and target group-specific content.

The core functions at a glance:

  • Automatic tagging / keywording of media assets on ingest via import scripting
  • Seamless integration of brochure downloads and predefined media selections via our flexible API
  • Rights-based provisioning of media assets and selections for various target groups after registering on the company site (for example, press releases and image material for journalists; technical data sheets, mailings, and price lists for retailers)

For designers of large kitchens the new Planner Portal provides a particular added value: after successful login, the configurator users can select specific types of machines and gets offered application-oriented documents (planning examples, data sheets, wiring diagrams, operating instructions, pictures and decision-support tools and drawing files) for download directly from mediacockpit.

zelect becomes MCP

mcp-logo.jpg To further consolitdate the mediacockpit brand, we have decided to remove the "zelect" wordmark from the DAM Group product portfolio. The zelect modules have been rebranded as MCP ("mediacockpit for publishers"). Our business model here remains unchanged: the MCP paywall and themenalarm products allow publishers to generate and interact with new and existing customers and monetize the digital content in a comfortable and easy to integrate fashion.

In times of Web-based micro payments, DAM Group's MCP paywall and themenalarm are mature and proven products for the paid content market. Based on mediacockpit, they enable publishers the simple and economical introduction of paid content on the Web for publishers and advertising companies.

We are very pleased that the brand name zelect has aroused the interest of Europe's largest telecommunications company. All rights to the brand zelect have been fullly ceded to Deutsche Telekom AG: The transfer of the brand will be completed February 28.

Press release - Bertsch Group acquires the e-pro solutions GmbH from the TTS Group

Bertsch Group takes a further step in the consolidation of the DAM / PIM market in the in the DACH region
Stuttgart, 11 January 2013 – Effective January 1st, 2013, the Bertsch Group with headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany has acquired to the e-pro solutions GmbH with their established product portfolio and longtime product information management (PIM) and electronic catalog (CAT) know-how. The software division of the Bertsch Group has extensive experience with product development and projects for IT-based marketing and sales processes. With the acquisition of e-pro solutions GmbH, the Group continues the strategic expansion of their DAM / PIM strengths.

The e-pro and Bertsch Group management see merging their proven and complementary technologies and the existing know-how as the right decision for all the parties. The resulting synergies will bring competitive advantages, benefiting stakeholders in both organizations.

Following the acquisition, e-pro will maintain their headquarters in Stuttgart-Vaihingen and continue independently supporting their existing customer base. Continuity in the business relationships and system maintenance is guaranteed for the e-pro’s customers.

Triathlon in Lindau 2013 – The Countdown has Started

chris_swimming.pngOur athletic ambitions will reach a new peak next year: driven by a desire be more active, achieve a healthier work-life balance and last but not least by the physical challenge, we spontaneously decided to be a part of the 2013 BMW Unterberger Triathlon in Lindau. And we all gladly accept the challenge - even if some of us are starting from a better cardiovascular base than the rest ;-)

The event on 19.05.2013 promises to be a real highlight for DAM Group: apart from at least one age group starter, we will sending an employee team to the start. We're already looking forward to the upcoming training sessions and lots of support along the route.

The event will be covered by the regional and national newspapers, as well as magazines and Internet portals. We are definitely looking forward to it!

DAM Group sponsors TowerStars

Tower_stars_logo.jpgThe historical pride of Oberschwaben has a name: the roots go back to the EV Ravensburg in 1881 - therefore the second oldest hockey club in Germany! Approximately 1,200 members, including 200 active players - the fast sport, continuity and above all the special commitment in youth work - all that we found great. And we think this first sports sponsorship is absolutely worth it.

The professional team under the name of Ravensburg Tower Stars has spun off in 2007 as an independent corporation from the original club and is currently playing in the German second league. We wish all teams a successful course of the season and atmospheric games - which already offers us a great opportunity for a next outing :)

Good Conversations - DAM as a Service

mediacockpit_apple.jpgFirst and foremost - thanks to everyone for a very successful user conference! Despite the weather, we had a "gorgeous" day with our customers and partners! The initial response among participants has been very positive: we had a lovely time and are thankful so many of you could attend.

The presentations and case studies about brand management, web2print, mobile apps, print, web and e-commerce in and around mediacockpit emphasized continued and increasing importance of DAM, MAM and PIM today. Interesting speaker slots, live demos and good conversations during the breaks made it an inspirational day for all of us - and given us new and innovative ideas for features and enhancements in many areas.

Tomorrow is the day - - the mediacockpit User Conference 2012 opens its doors on October 09th from 09:30 on. We look forward to welcoming you as our customers and partners in the Seehotel Friedrichshafen . And we are particularly pleased about the number of entries received – we´ve noticed a subscriber growth of over 20%!

Media and product data efficiently managed

Ravensburger is a leading supplier of puzzles, games and employment products in Europe and a leading supplier of children's books in Germany. The blue triangle is one of the most prestigious brands in Germany.

The Ravensburger mediacockpit has been put operational early 2011 as a central data base for all media objects to all business units. In the first phase, the focal point was the automated media integration of all book and games products and the corresponding keywording based on product attributes. Heart of this is the connection to an internal master data system and the management and allocation of all product-related information to the media objects.

The recently implemented add-ons now support partners (advertising agencies, design studios) as well as employees of Ravensburger AG equally efficient in the creation and publication process.
To ensure that each step is also visible to product managers within their familiar working environment, state transitions and related information on approved media objects are additionally mapped via XML workflow to an internal SharePoint Portal.

Merchandising Shop via mediacockpit 5.5

We just finished rolling the new merchandising shop for Mercedes-Benz and Setra based on the new version of mediacockpit 5.5. The product data management, media asset management and translation processes are integrated in the mediacockpit back-end. The OMNIplus Merchandising Shop offers a range of products, brochures and internal communications materials for employees, dealers and end customers.

The new mediashop module manages product, price, customer and order management processes, and is seamlessly integrated with mediasuite and mediapim. The relaunch of trilingual merchandising shop took place on August 3rd and the first orders have already been processed successfully!
